Economic Change
Nearly half the wealth of the United States, one quarter of income, and significant tax revenue disappeared between 2006 and 2009.

Wealth continued to grow in almost a dozen states while the rest of the economy collapsed.
We need to use evidence to establish exactly why that happened so this does not repeat.

Economic Policy
The real story of the Great Recession economy emerges when we look at population growth.

- Maryland . . . . . . . 9%

- North Dakota . . . .5%
That is almost the same list that escaped the Great Recession.

The "immigrant documentation fee" can cost $10,000, which is 5 months income for the average immigrant.
Police in states that adopted the Real ID Act violate the "illegal search and seizure" clause of the US constitution by selling vehicles confiscated from unlicensed drivers and notifying immigration services about the "crime".
- California Confiscated Vehicle Sales
- Nevada Confiscated Vehicle Sales
- Arizona Confiscated Vehicle Sales
California makes $40 million from illegal auto sales in 2009, which collapses the automobile industry.
The following shows how the Real ID Act contributed to the collapse of US real estate in the 4 worst states.
- Nevada, 0.25 million immigrants depart
- Florida, 1.1 million immigrants depart
- Arizona, 0.57 million immigrants depart
- California, 2.9 million immigrants depart

Unemployment
The greatest negative impact for unemployment happens when entire industries disappear from the US economy over large geographic areas.
The impact on industries like construction, real estate, and finance can be seen by looking at the change in population growth (1990 to 2010).
- State . . . . . Change in Growth
- Nevada . . . . . . . .-31
- Arizona . . . . . . . .-15
- Colorado . . . . . . .-14
- Oregon . . . . . . . . .-8

- Idaho . . . . . . . . . . -7
- Washington . . . . . -7
- New Mexico . . . . .-7
- Mississippi . . . . . .-6
- Florida . . . . . . . . .-6
While the populations of Nevada and Arizona did grow, that growth declined suddenly in 2006.
Arizona growth went from 4%/year during the 1990s to less than 2.5%/year during the 2000s. Likewise, Nevada growth went from 6.6%/year to 3.5%/year.
An examination of the past 100 years confirms the link.
If you omit Reagan and Taft, then republican presidents have a record of 100% economic failure for over a century.
- President . . . . . . Unemployment Change
- Harding (R) . . . .+0.3%/yr (collapse)
- Coolidge (R) . . . . 0.0%/yr (no change)
- Hoover (R) . . . . +2.5%/yr (collapse)
- Roosevelt (D) . . .-0.9%/yr (better)
- Truman (D) . . . . -0.15%/yr (better)
- Eisenhower (R) . +0.3%/yr (collapse)
- Kennedy (D) . . . . 0.0%/yr (no change)
- Johnson (D) . . . .-0.4%/yr (better)
- Nixon (R) . . . . . . +0.3%/yr (collapse)
- Ford (R) . . . . . . . +0.9%/yr (collapse)
- Carter (D) . . . . . -0.15%/yr (better)
- Regan (R) . . . . . -0.2%/yr (better)
- Bush I (R) . . . . . +0.5%/yr (collapse)
- Clinton (D) . . . . -0.4%/yr (better)
- Bush II (R) . . . . . 0.2%/yr (collapse)
- Obama (D) . . . .- 0.1%/yr (better)
Reagan and Taft are the only republicans presidents with pro-immigration policies, and the only republicans that did not collapse the economy.
Wilson is the only democrat president that collapsed the economy, and also the only democrat president with anti-immigration policies.
Taft refused to enforce discriminatory immigration laws.
This provides conclusive overwhelming evidence that discriminatory immigration policies cause population instability, which is one of the factors that triggers economic collapse in the United States.
